PTA ELECTION MEETING MARCH 11!!!
PTA will be holding elections for the 2010-2011 Board of
Directors on Thursday, March 11 at the Regular Meeting, 4:15pm in the Team Meeting room. We invite you to attend.
At this meeting, the following positions will be filled:
• President
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Parliamentarian
If you would like to nominate yourself or someone you know, download and fill out this form and return to your child’s teacher or to the front office, Attn: PTA.
There are Chair Positions that may be appointed by the new Board after elections such as:
• Room Parent Representative
• Programs
• Yearbook
• Membership
• Book Fair
• Label Program Coordinator
• Volunteer
• Historian
• Arts in Education
• Environmental
• Health Concerns
• Hospitality
• Parent Education
• Newsletter
• Website

Responsibilities of the Board
Typically, Board Members have one to two meetings a month; an Executive Board Meeting and a Regular Member Meeting. The Board creates the budget and sets fundraising goals. PTA assists in the planning of special school events in conjunction with the Principal and staff. Throughout the school year, PTA plans events such as Book Fairs, Donuts with Dad, Morning with Mom, and provides volunteers for these and other school events. PTA provides financial support for grade level activities such as field trips and special performances.
